Rapala knot

Step 1: Tie an underhand knot in your leader without closing it up.

Step 2: Pass the loose end through the eye of your lure and thread it back through the knot.

Step 3: Make 5 wraps with the loose end on the mono leader from top to bottom and thread it back through the loop again.

Step 4: Tighten by pulling the loose end, making sure that a loop is formed at the eye of the lure and snip off the excess.
